I would have preferred for our first female Prime Minister to be voted in on a landslide victory, but hey - beggars can't be choosers....
Here's hoping the next three years mark a rare period of Politicians Keeping Their Shit Together. Fingers crossed.
But away from politics, there's a wee shop update going up tomorrow at noon:

Once this update is sold and posted, I will be putting in an order for more yarn, and embarking on a new adventure - self striping! I look forward to having some stripy goodness ready for you all very soon…. Now that the weather is warming up here, the dyeing process becomes a million times easier - perhaps the next update will be a more timely one.....
Now, I just have to figure out how to wind a skein twenty feet long........ ha.

ps: I see that Bloglines is closing down - does anyone have any other Feed Reader ideas? I'm a little stressed out that I'm going to lose all my blogs, and I've already decided that I hate Google reader..... help! xxx

Give Google Reader another shot! If you make use of it's extras like the 'Next' and 'Subscribe' buttons then it is great!
hmmm, well i was going to suggest Google Reader!! I just moved over all my Bloglines subscritions yesterday and it went absolutely smoothly and I feel like i've had a religious conversion, lol. I love the folders and tagging and and ability to read all my new blog entries regardless of folder/category without having to scroll and click through blog names. I had tried to use GR once before and didn't like it, but I have to admit to being a bit in love right now ;o)
And the new yarns look utterly gorgeous! That yellow - mmmmmmm!
Sorry, I was going to suggest Google Reader! I've been using it for years... I hate having to change my "thingies" (settings on the computer, cupboards in the kitchen, sides on the bed, etc...), but you do get used to it after a while :)
I have never used Bloglines. I just use the subscriber thing in my blogger dashboard to follow all my blogs. Is that the same? I hate google reader too. It bugs me!
I'll be stalking your comments to see if anyone has a good replacement for bloglines. I've moved all mine to google reader just in case but like you I really don't like it
I did a trial run with Google Reader on a few of my blogs a few months back and never grew to like it.
So I spent last weekend moving all my RSS feeds into Outlook Express and reordering them into the folders I used to have in Bloglines and I have to say I love the ability to read emails and blogs in the same place, delete posts I don't want to keep and mark as unread those I do...
